Studio Élan, operated by Pierce Collective LLC, respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. It applies to studioelanpilates.com, to our online booking and account system, and to information you give us in the studio.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Contact details: name, email address, phone number and mailing address.
- Account details: your login, class bookings, purchase history, memberships and class packs.
- Payment details: card information you enter at checkout, which is collected and stored by our booking platform and its payment processor. We do not store full card numbers ourselves.
- Waiver and safety information: your signed liability waiver, emergency contact, and any injuries, pregnancy or physical limitations you choose to tell us about so we can teach you safely.
- Messages you send us by phone, email, text, social media or a website form.
Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data such as IP address, browser type, pages viewed and the date and time of your visit.
- Cookies and similar technologies that keep the site working and help us understand how it is used. We also use analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, which may set their own cookies.
Information from others
- If someone buys you a gift certificate or books a class for you, they give us your name and contact details.
2. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Create and manage your account, bookings, waitlists and memberships
- Process payments, refunds and gift certificates
- Send service messages such as booking confirmations, reminders, schedule changes and billing notices
- Teach safely and respond to an emergency
- Answer your questions and requests
- Send studio news, offers and events, where you have agreed to receive them
- Maintain, secure and improve our website and services
- Meet legal, tax and insurance obligations
3. How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:
- Service providers that work on our behalf, including Arketa (booking, accounts and client communications), its payment processor, and our website host and email providers. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Our instructors and staff, who see the class roster and any safety information relevant to teaching you.
- Authorities or advisors when required by law, or when needed to protect the rights, safety or property of our clients, our staff or the studio.
- A successor business if Studio Élan is sold or reorganized, in which case this policy continues to apply to your information.
4. Marketing messages
You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time by using the link in any email. If you opt in to text messages, you can reply STOP at any time. Message and data rates may apply. We will still send messages about your bookings and account.
5. Cookies and your choices
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you block cookies, some parts of the website or booking system may not work as intended.
6. Photos and video
We sometimes take photos or video in the studio for our website and social media. We will let you know beforehand, and you may ask not to be included or ask us to remove an image of you at any time.
7. How long we keep information
We keep personal information for as long as you have an account with us, and afterward for as long as we need it for tax, legal, insurance and record-keeping purposes. Signed waivers are kept for the period our insurer and applicable law require.
8. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect personal information, and we rely on established providers for payments and account storage. No website or system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Children
Our website and services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Clients under 18 need a parent or guardian to create the account and sign the waiver. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
10. Your rights
You may ask to see, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to close your account, by contacting us at the details below. You can also update most account details yourself by signing in. We may need to keep certain records, such as payment history and signed waivers, where the law or our insurer requires it.
11. Links to other sites
Our website links to other services, including our booking system, Facebook and Instagram. Those services have their own privacy policies, and we are not responsible for their practices.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date, and we will notify you by email if a change is significant.

Terms of Use
These Terms of Use are an agreement between you and Pierce Collective LLC, doing business as Studio Élan. They apply when you use studioelanpilates.com, create an account, book a class or buy anything from us. By doing any of those things, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
1. Your account
- Bookings and accounts are managed through our booking platform, Arketa. Your use of that platform is also subject to its own terms and privacy policy.
- You agree to give accurate information and to keep it up to date.
- You are responsible for keeping your login confidential and for activity on your account.
- You must be at least 18 to create an account. Clients under 18 may attend only with our approval and with a parent or guardian who creates the account and signs the waiver.
2. Bookings, cancellations and studio policies
- Classes must be booked in advance and are subject to availability.
- To cancel without charge, cancel at least 6 hours before class starts. Later cancellations are charged one class credit, and no-shows are charged one class credit.
- Our full Studio Policies (studioelanpilates.com/studio-policies), including late arrival and studio etiquette, form part of these Terms.
- We may change the schedule, substitute an instructor or cancel a class. If we cancel a class, we will return your class credit or refund the class fee.
3. Prices and payment
- Prices are shown in US dollars and may change. A price change does not affect a purchase you have already completed.
- Payment is due at the time of purchase and is processed by our booking platform's payment processor.
- You authorize us to charge your chosen payment method for your purchases and for any fees described in these Terms.
- Except where these Terms or the law say otherwise, all sales are final, and class packs and credits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Class packs expire 30 days after purchase.
4. Memberships and automatic renewal
- Memberships renew automatically each month. Your payment method is charged the then-current membership price on your billing date until you cancel.
- You may cancel at any time by emailing us at least 30 days before your next billing date. Your membership stays active through the end of the period you have paid for.
- You may freeze your membership for up to 3 months by contacting us via email.
- We will give you at least 30 days' notice by email before changing your membership price.
- You may also have cancellation rights under Illinois law. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights.
5. Gift certificates
Gift certificates may be redeemed for classes and other studio purchases. They are not redeemable for cash except where the law requires, and we cannot replace one that is lost or used without your permission. Gift certificates expire 1 year from purchase date.
6. Retail purchases
Products sold in the studio or through the Élan Store may be returned unused and in original packaging within 7 days with proof of purchase. If product is used, ALL SALES ARE FINAL.
7. Health and assumption of risk
- Pilates and other physical exercise carry a risk of injury. You take part voluntarily and at your own risk.
- You confirm that you are physically able to participate, and you agree to consult your doctor before starting if you have any health concern, injury or are pregnant.
- Tell your instructor before class about any injury or limitation, and stop if you feel pain, dizziness or discomfort.
- Our instructors are not medical providers, and nothing on our website or in class is medical advice.
- Every client must sign our liability waiver before a first class. The waiver applies in addition to these Terms.
8. Conduct in the studio
We want every client to feel welcome and safe. We may refuse service to, or end the membership of, anyone who behaves in an unsafe, abusive or disruptive way, or who repeatedly breaks studio policies. In that case we will refund any unused prepaid membership period, less amounts owed.
9. Using our website
You agree not to:
- Use the website for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the website, to our booking system or to another person's account
- Interfere with how the website works or introduce harmful code
- Copy or collect content from the website by automated means without our written permission
10. Our content
The Studio Élan name and logo, and the text, photographs, videos and designs on our website, belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may view and share them for personal, non-commercial use. Any other use needs our written permission.
11. Third-party links
Our website links to services we do not control, including Arketa, Facebook and Instagram. We are not responsible for their content or practices.
12. Disclaimer
We work to keep our website accurate and up to date, but we provide the website and its content as is and as available, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Schedules, prices and offers shown on the website may change.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Studio Élan, its owner, instructors and staff are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of our website or services. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Illinois law.
14. Indemnification
You agree to cover losses and costs, including reasonable attorneys' fees, that we incur because you broke these Terms or misused our website or services.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts serving Stephenson County, Illinois, and you and we consent to those courts.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change significantly affects an active membership, we will notify you by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use our website or services after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
17. General
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with our Studio Policies, Privacy Policy and your signed waiver, are the entire agreement between you and us about our website and services.
